Susan Allred is the visionary leader behind Dancing Horse Capital LLC, a nationwide private money brokerage dedicated to funding non-owner-occupied real estate investments. With decades of entrepreneurial and real estate experience, Susan has built a reputation for integrity, innovation, and a relentless commitment to helping investors succeed.
Born in 1955 in Santa Monica, California, Susan grew up sailing in Newport Beach and riding horses in Garden Grove. She pursued higher education at Scripps College, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and later became a licensed Registered Nurse. Her diverse background reflects her adaptability and strong problem-solving skills—qualities that would later define her success in the real estate industry.
Susan moved to Orcas Island, Washington, in 1980, where she raised and homeschooled her four children while embarking on her entrepreneurial path. She developed the Village Plaza in Eastsound, a 10-unit commercial property featuring a restaurant, dinner theater, retail shops, and offices. Recognizing the needs of the local youth, she also built and managed a skateboard shop when her children were teenagers.
In 2013, Susan expanded her real estate expertise internationally, moving to Cuenca, Ecuador. There, she remodeled a historic brick home and built a four-story commercial property that housed two restaurants, a nightclub and performance stage, a dance studio, and a penthouse. These ventures solidified her ability to identify lucrative investment opportunities and execute complex development projects.
After spending over a decade abroad, Susan has returned to Washington State to be closer to her grandchildren. With a renewed focus on real estate finance, she now leads Dancing Horse Capital LLC, leveraging her extensive experience to provide investors with strategic funding solutions.
